colin pennock – layers of landscape

I love Colin Pennock’s work!  I admire the might of his brush stroke and the brilliance of his colours.

Born in Northern Ireland, Colin studied at St Martin’s School of Art in London, lived and worked in New York,
London and northern England, and has now found ‘home’ in the Noosa hinterland, Queensland (he also lived
in Sydney central, then the NSW bushlands around Wiseman’s Ferry).

Colin’s evocative response to the environment soars across each canvas in layers of light and landscape
– a  kaleidoscope of textures.

I love Colin Pennock’s work!     And so, I bought one, “Tidal”.

Colin and his wife, Katrina, are also good friends. Some photos below, taken in his studio, and my home,
in front of “Tidal”.
