‘first peoples’ – melbourne museum

I was fortunate today to be given an extensive tour of Melbourne Museum’s new indigenous exhibition, “First Peoples”.   As always, the Museum has applied attention to detail when it comes to use of space,

curating, interactive and educational aspects.  The “Bunjil is our Creator” is exquisitely meditative with its floating wedge-tailed eagle  and subtle changing lights.
I’ve also included in the photographs a portion of William Barak’s drawing “Ceremony at Corranderrk” 1899.
