What an enjoyable experience!  Harpist, vocalist, composer, writer and dear friend, Mary Doumany, performed last
evening at the Newnorthern in regional Castlemaine.

Sharing her love of Cole Porter’s music and lyrics, Mary indulged us in a repertoire of the lively, romantic and
poignant, from “I get a Kick out of You” to “Anything Goes”,  “I Concentrate on You” and “Miss Otis Regrets”.

The reason for the occasion: a fundraiser for the 12th triennial World Harp Congress, to be hosted in Sydney, July this year. Monies raised last night will fund a presentation of Australian content including sound installation, “Windharp” by the amazing Ros Bandt and new works for 7-harp ensemble SHE.

What a swell party it was…..thank you, Mary.
