“ardrossen” and agapanthus

We had another splendid weekend away at the beautiful coastal town of Flinders on the southern tip of the Mornington Peninsula, where our friends own a property called “Ardrossen”:   A welcoming rambling house, rose garden, orchard, a couple of highland cattle – Nutmeg and Sable – and a front garden with a view across to the ocean.

Agapanthus are synonymous with coastal Victoria in summer. At Ardrossen, they line the old driveway down to the gate, which once would have been the access via horse and card.

Another weekend, with gracious hosts, Ann and John.
